A base city for a ‘Bero’ your cycling guide is city of Slavonski Brod. It is the 6th largest in Croatia. But It does not offer 6 times less content. Slavonski Brod is a city with abundant green spaces. Its tree-lined streets and parks give it a unique freshness and natural beauty. It offers a variety of landmarks, museums and historic buildings. It is located in continental Croatia on the Sava river and it lies on the iconic ‘Sava’ cycling route.

City offers great cycling network in city center where all the landmarks to visit are. One of the main point of interest is a sport and recreational center of Poloj that is just 2.5 km outside city center connected with cycling path. Poloj is also the best public beach on river Sava! It offers a great caffe bar ‘Sidro’ where you can sip a coffee and relax watching river.

During all year city of Slavonski Brod has many activities to offer. Concerts, museums, restaurants, outdoor activities and races, local traditional festivals and much more. There is always something happening in the city. Slavonski Brod is also a great starting point for exploring the region (Slavonia). It offers great traffic connections to other cities nearby. Those cities are the city of Đakovo, Požega, Nova Gradiška, Kutjevo, Pakrac and Našice.

There are many road routes with reduced traffic to enjoy on. Road routes are for everyone, because of the mixed terrain around Slavonski Brod. You can enjoy riding on a flat roads or go to the hills and conquer some peaks. There is also no shortage of mountain biking. There are many forest trails above the city in beautiful nature. City of Slavonski Brod is also the host of two cycling mountain biking races: XCO Šuma Striborova and XCO Tvrđava.
